State Board for Community Colleges to Consider 2023-24 Tuition and Fees at July Meeting

In accordance with Section 23.1-307 (D) of the Code of Virginia, the State Board for Community Colleges provides notice that it will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for Virginia’s Community Colleges, effective fall 2023, at 9 a.m. on July 20, 2023, at the Virginia Community College System, System Office, 300 Arboretum Place, Richmond, VA 23236.

Students Named to DCC President’s Honors List for Spring 2023

210 Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County residents were recently named to the Danville Community College President’s Honors List for the Spring 2023 semester. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled for six or more credit hours in the spring semester, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, have a semester GPA of 3.75 or higher, and have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours at the college.

Danville Community College Announces Commencement Speaker

Danville Community College has announced that McKenzie Snow, Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia, will serve as the keynote speaker at this year's commencement ceremony. The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the Grant Center Gymnasium at Averett University’s North Campus.
